Man's Best Friend - February 60 Second Short Film

This short film features this theme as the dogs new normal was not getting played with. The inspiration behind this idea was I wanted to see a lockdown perspective but from a dog's view and what a dog's new normality is during lockdown. This was the first idea that allowed me to develop and create this short film. Another part of this task was to feature something broken which is shown near the end when he breaks the picture frame of the boy and his dog. Showing that his dog is a special part of his life.

Coming of age story's are one of my favourite genre in cinema so I believed it was perfect for me to create one. The story follows an older Trevor as he notices some teenage lads having a laugh with each other. This then spurs the memory of his friends and he takes a trip down memory lane. Back to 1977, he and his three-childhood friends Jude, Gary and Winston. Summer was close to ending so they wanted to have a night to remember, an adventure to their local pub. Nice consideration of the codes and conventions of Horror, great editing and fab use of sound to add a haunting soundtrack, I also really like your shot choices - well done Tom and team.
