15th October 2019 I had to create a proposal to explain my idea and explain the production requirements, length of work, the target audience, crew/cast, contingency plan and soundtrack. I also explained how my idea will be a unique selling point and why my production will stand out.  My Idea for the 15 seconds Greggs advert is going to be a guy runs into a room and says ‘I have the briefcase from pulp fiction’ and the rest of the people in the room don’t really believe him. But when he opens the brief case the light shines on them and they pull out a Greggs sausage roll and takes a bite.  I then had to create a pitch to try and sell my proposal. I had to do an introduction about myself, explain research I have undertaken, my idea for the project, skills i will bring to the project, target audience, contingency plans and locations for filming. Our Podcast Conspiracy Show Podcast Task 1 Comparison of Two Podcasts For part of task one we had to carry out an analysis of two different podcasts currently on the market and what makes them unique, for this I have decided to look at an interview/talk show-based podcast and a story based podcast. I looked at the most popular podcast on the platform ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’. Joe Rogan is a commentator for the UFC and runs the number 1 podcast on the platform. Joe Rogan is so popular because he is very well known and respected. He has had multiple big guests on, including Elon Musk, Mike Tyson and more. On the podcast there is a new topic every 10 minutes meaning the conversation never dies out. The whole podcast is just Joe Rogan having a conversation with a big celebrity. Understanding the characteristics and context of Christmas films Researching the Hallmark Channel When we were given our brief, I needed to accumulate research about Christmas films and how they have been created in the past and how they have changed. I wanted to do further research in the hallmark channel and look at their style of programming, the typical narrative tropes of the genre and investigate their successes and failures. During my research I watched many hallmark films on the hallmark channel, in hallmark Christmas films, the world is often idealized and only interested in Christmas, which is nothing like reality. At its core it is aspirational and the message that I perceived from the hallmark channel in general is that each movie often tries to echo the joy and innocence we felt as children during the festive season.
